Enjoy Amelia Island’s Beautiful Waters

Amelia Family Charters is a chartering service for people visiting or living in the Amelia Island area who want to enjoy the islands’ waters without the expense and headache of owning a boat.

Sunset cruises with friends, seeing the island and its wildlife (birds of all kinds, dolphin, manatees, etc.) fishing, crabbing with the grandkids and many other boating activities are available on your schedule at a per hour rate. No fixed schedules; how long you stay on the water is your decision.

Carefree Boating

As a native of Amelia Island, I grew up along the Amelia river; spending most of my youth on the water. Even after joining the corporate world and living all over the southeast, I returned home as often as possible to enjoy the waters around the island.

During those years I learned that owning a boat is not only expensive but also a major headache. It seemed like I spent more time repairing and cleaning my boat than enjoying it.

My boat owning experiences convinced me that there had to be a better way to enjoy boating than by owning a boat. I have retired, returned home and now offer you that “better way to enjoy boating”.

Amelia Family Charters

was created as an alternative to the expense and headaches of boat ownership. We provide you with the boat and captain on a cost effective basis.

You pay only for the time you use the boat and you don’t have to worry about repairs, preparation or cleanup.

All boating activities are available for your enjoyment.
Charter us for a fishing trip (backwater, inshore or offshore).

Go cruising with family and friends to enjoy the wonderful waterways surrounding Amelia Island.

See the amazingly varied wildlife; manatees in the summer; white pelicans in the winter; dolphin year-round. Herons, egrets, ospreys, roseate spoonbills and even bald eagles may be spied while out on the waterways.

Take your grandchildren fishing, crabbing or just boating.

Cruise up to Cumberland Island to see the wild horses; or cruise north on the ocean side of Cumberland to see a rarity: an undeveloped coastline.

Circumnavigate Amelia Island for viewing the “smiley face” house on the south end of the Island and Fort Clinch on the north end. Maybe even see a submarine!

Visit Jacksonville’s “Landings” by water.

Wheel chair accessible

The boat is equipped with a boom & sling to accommodate mobility impaired individuals.
